ReNew Signs MoU for ₹70,000-Crore MMR Data Centre Park

ReNew Wind Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ReNew, has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to develop a ₹70,000-crore green integrated data centre park with a planned capacity of 750 MW across Navi Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

The project is expected to be developed in phases starting in 2028 and generate around 7,000 jobs, including over 2,000 direct employment opportunities. The data centre park will integrate renewable energy, with green electricity expected to meet 51% of its power requirements.

Under the agreement, the Maharashtra government will facilitate the required approvals, clearances and applicable fiscal incentives. The project is expected to strengthen the state's digital infrastructure ecosystem while supporting the integration of clean energy into large-scale data centre operations.
